Ground-breaking Patrol Courses | North West
GSTS CEO Dave Potts, went to JD Sports Distribution Centre, in Rochdale on Monday 19th March, to hand certificates to security staff who had passed the recent Level 1 Specialist Patrol Course. He is pictured with officers, Catriona and John.
GSTS specialist trainers, who hold senior police command experience, have developed this course in Behavioural Assessment Screening, incorporating when necessary counter terrorism modules taken from the latest guidelines. Further modules include decision-making, offender motivation, intelligence gathering, search techniques and evidence recovery.
The course utilises personality tests in order to allocate team members into one of the three ‘disciplines’, meaning that they become ‘specialists’. The course is particularly useful for all security staff and supervisors who work within the logistical sector, NHS or transport hubs.
GSTS is developing further courses to Level 2 and for Team Leaders. These unique courses will be accredited by Open Awards.
