In Healthcare Security, excellence and continuous learning are paramount. Noren Uwaifo, a recent addition to the GSTS team, completed the Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) Certified Training in Positive Behaviour Support and Physical Interventions course with flying colours and was also awarded the Course Exceptional Performance Award, presented by Wayne Pugh, Healthcare Security Operations Manager at GSTS.

Wayne Pugh, Healthcare Security Operations Manager said:

“Our primary role is to make staff, patients and visitors feel safe at our hospitals, underpinned with dignity, respect and a customer service approach – and our specialist training provides these elements. Inspired by our training, new recruits such as Noren will not only provide a reassuring presence but will now use his specialist training skills to deliver our standards on the frontline.”

Stuart Lindsay, HR and Development Manager said:

“It’s fantastic to see our staff gaining new key skills within Healthcare Security, this is in line with our ethos of ‘our people are our assets’. We have an excellent partnership with training within the standards of the Restraint Reduction Network and we’re proud that our people are a part of a network supporting at its very heart the unnecessary use of restrictive practices within healthcare.”
